Show Notes

Bringing-Tibet-Home-Flyer Arizona Friends of Tibet Founder Peggy Hitchcock and Tibetan University of Arizona grad student Tenzin Sonam discussed Bringing Tibet Home and other Tibetan issues. Bringing Tibet Home will screen at The Loft Cinema on Wednesday, November 11th at 7pm in a benefit for Arizona Friends of Tibet. A Q & A will follow with Director Tenzin Tsetan Choklay.

Bringing Tibet Home documents what happens when a Tibetan refugee dies in exile from a terminal illness, and his last wish- to set foot again on his native soil- which is unfulfilled. His son, artist Tenzing Rigdol, goes on a mission to bring Tibet closer to its people by smuggling 20 tons of Tibetan soil into India.

Arizona Friends of Tibet (AFOT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to manifesting His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s vision of promoting basic human values as set forth in Tibetan culture, civilization and ancient Buddhist traditions. They also support the non-violent efforts of the Dalai Lama to regain dignity and religious freedom for the Tibetan people.
