Tucson Makers Inspired by Women, presented by AIGA Arizona, is an annual fundraiser during Phoenix Design Week featuring fast-paced visual presentations by Tucson creatives. Throughout today’s program we’ll hear from three speakers who described how their creative work is intertwined with catalyzing change.
AIGA Board Member and Graphic Designer Julie Ray began the evening with an overview of AIGA and the Tucson Makers event and KXCI Executive Director Cathy Rivers was the MC.
Speakers include: Liane Hernandez, Community Life Director for YWCA Southern Arizona; Debi Chess Mabie, the Community Impact Fellow for the UA School of Social and Behavioral Science, focused on development of the Dunbar Pavillion; and Writer, Editor, Educator, and Creativity Usher Lisa M. O’Neill.
